Hi, I’m Erika. I’ve been photographing weddings full time since 2012, documenting everything from the gasps as you walk down the aisle, to “I do”. The smiles during speeches, the nerves before the ceremony, the laughter on the dance floor — the full spectrum of emotion that makes your wedding day yours.

While there’s always time for some relaxed group shots, my work truly shines when you’ve forgotten about the camera, and are fully present in your day. I capture the fleeting glances, and the unscripted scenes. The moments that become memories.

Everything about your wedding is personal: from the venue you choose, to the clothes you wear, the food you serve, and the favours you gift. So shouldn’t your photography be just as unique?

One of the things that I really pride myself on is that I can work at a venue multiple times and each time the pictures will be different. They’re different because the couples are different. This isn’t cookie-cutter, off the rack, photography. If you’re joyful, loud, and outgoing, your photographs will reflect that energy. If your day is quieter and more intimate, with shared looks, squeezed hands, and private jokes, the images will hold that mood too.

Stylish, Elegant Wedding Photography in Durham

Durham is a beautiful place to get married, and I’ve photographed hundreds of the weddings in the region. From the cosy Manor House in Bishop Auckland and the stately Beamish Hall, to the ancient Lumley Castle and one of my personal favourites: Wynyard Hall. I know the venues here inside and out. I’ve also had the privilege of shooting at world-famous locations Durham Castle and Durham Cathedral.
