Hi, I’m Erika. I’ve been photographing weddings throughout Durham and the region for 12 years. I’ve photographed weddings at some of Durham’s finest wedding venues and, just between me and you, I think I have the best job in the world. I like to draw out the emotion of a photograph using colour and contrast. The nerves before walking down the aisle will be more poignant in black and white, whereas the joy of “I do” is better reflected in full colour. But no two people are the same, and that’s why I edit and retouch every single photo individually myself. I want to ensure that everything is as perfect as can be.
